I can't wait for the next one. I always love books like this.
That is enough to describe this book. However you yo submit so many characters to submit your review. So let say, this is a book worth reading.
After completing the first book of the series, I just couldn't wait any longer to start second book. It was actually better than the first one (the first one was excellent as well). After agreeing to the Queen's compromises, Kia decided to learn to accept school and the book taken us two years after the agreement with the Queen. She had formed a strong friendship with her roommates. She had tried her best to keep up with the school.
I was able to learn more about who Kia was and adored her all the same. She had gone through hell for a good reason. I was thrilled to see her building a good friendship with some people and she developed a friendship with a swordswoman, which was awesome. It was interesting that the people without an ability to do magic wouldn't be able to see the magic when magic users did something. Kia was able to see the magic in different colors. She was much untrained, so she didn't know what kind true powers she had.
Again, I didn't have anything I didn't like about the novel. It was really good. I, as usual, highly recommended you to check this book out, but please read the first book first before starting this one. It cannot be read as a stand-alone either.
I hate how when you finish a book, you want to keep reading but there is no more yet. This one was better than the first. Can't wait for the next one.
The second novel was better than the already excellent first. This series will hopefully see at least several more, enough to follow the central characters through to full adulthood. Definitely worth picking up.
JP Larson has created a very enjoyable world/series/story, and ok, its billed as YA, but its well worth your time regardless of age. I'm annoyed that there are only 2 written to date. Author has several series, and I hope they all have sequels planned for release shortly... (write write write!)
